School Library Journal Reviews : SLJ Reviews 2004 March Twelve excellent ideas for themed storytimes, with plans for programs that educate and entertain equally well. The same song opens each session, which includes books, songs, poems, fingerplays, activities, crafts, and even snacks to enhance the experience. Themes include numbers, colors, shapes, transportation, families, community helpers, growing things, and foods. The book is organized well, the format is attractive, and the instructions for the crafts are clear and simple. A fine companion to Gail Benton and Trisha Waichulaitis's Ready-to-Go Storytimes (Neal-Schuman, 2003).-Judy Sokoll, Florida Storytelling Association, Naples Copyright 2004 Reed Business Information.
